What is the holy book of Shinto?
The holy books of Shinto are the Kojiki, meaning ‘Records
of Ancient Matters’ (from 712 CE) and the Nihon-gi or
‘Chronicles of Japan’ (from 720 CE). These books are
compilations of ancient myths and traditional teachings
that had previously been passed down orally.

Uzume is a very humanlike Kami with a lot of imperfections,
who tries to help humans, along with other Kami who
are also very humanlike. It is not their authority, but their
intention to help humans that moves Mai, Sachiko and
Isamu to collaborate with them to save the world. In doing
so, it teaches them that enjoying the nature of things and
finding harmony with your circumstances is important.
