In Year 2 (P3) we revisit the alphabetic code but with a heavier emphasis on spelling and age-appropriate content. Mixed ability whole-class lessons use
age-appropriate colour banding (Turquoise, Purple, Gold and White). But less confident and lower attaining children can read Rocket Phonics Target
Practice Readers for Blue, Green and Orange to help them to keep up with the teaching.
